I am studying in the fields of Management Science, Political Science, and Computer Science here at UCSD, yes, I am a proud Sixer just like you! I want to make a difference here at UCSD. To build transparency, to build infrastructure, to craft a better tomorrow. Our motto is Yes we can! Sky's the limit! And I stand by my philosophy of by the people, for the people, from the people. I deeply believe in the rooted idea that 1 stick is easy to break; 100 sticks, 1000 sticks, 10,000 sticks are impossible to break. Nothing can be done without teamwork, together, we are unstoppable. I have a demonstrative history of leading and supporting our flourishment, the next generation. I can proudly say I have a dream, a vision for us, to create a better world. This motto may sound meaningless without substance, but I say this with a proud heart with a demonstrative history in what I do. Not just on paper and words, but with action and might, motivation As President, I will fight for: - Increase transparency via year round forums, office hrs & open council meetings - Responsibly utilize all our student fees, be open and honest about our event finance - Unite Sixth College to craft a better tomorrow - Program the best activities to celebrate our 20th anniversary! In terms of personal experiences: - I am the current Chief of Staff at AS Concerts and Events (Sun God Festival, Bear Garden, etc) - CEO and Chairman of the Board at Break the Outbreak Inc. 501c(3) (located in 53 cities and 18 states) - Sixth College Spiriti Committee Member (I was on the basketball court during spirit night game doing trivia) - Under the guidance of the UCSD Basement Blackstone Launchpad Program, I am the current COO and Co-founder of Kook-surf Inc. - I also held various other C-level and management positions in other companies and organizations. On a more personal side, I live in Sixth College, Tapestry: - I love to surf, the outdoors, camping, tennis, golf, etc. - I also enjoy gaming (I got a PS5, hehe). - I love reading book and I published a book on Apple Books too, https://books.apple.com/us/book/sky-yangs-memoir/id1554700711. |
