| Video Discription | Discover the constant evolution of Westminster Abbey over the last 1000 years, from the 10th century up to the construction of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries in the Abbey’s triforium in 2018. Working in collaboration with the Abbey’s in-house team, and with external archaeological advisers, the film was created by London-based company AVR who specialise in architectural illustration and digital reconstruction. The film takes you on a historic journey, both outside and inside the Abbey, and reveals that that the Weston Tower, built to take visitors to triforium level, is simply the latest chapter in a long history of architectural development at Westminster Abbey. The film was made to accompany the displays of exhibits in the Galleries within a section under the theme ‘Building Westminster Abbey’. |
