Manohar has an affair with a widow, Manisha Salkar. When Uma finds out, she leaves him and takes the children along to her parent's place. Her mother and brother try to convince her, but in vain. She gets a job and her brother advises her to stay separately. Manohar comes over to meet her and tries to persuade her to return but she does not budge. The children meet their father secretly with the help of their uncle. When she finds out about it, she reprimands them as well. Uma is eventually attracted to Mr. Rege but she controls herself.
