The departure ceremony will start around 2 pm. Various programs started in the temple from 4.30 am today. Abhishekam was done at Shila Mandir at 4.30 am. After that started with Abhishek and Kakad Aarti at Swayambhu Vitthal Rukmini Temple. After the ritual puja of Swayambhu Vitthal Rukmini, the father of Palkhi ceremony as well as the third Chiranjeeva of Sant Tukaram Maharaj, Taponidhi Narayan Maharaj, were duly anointed. जगद्गुरु संत तुकाराम महाराजांचा पालखी प्रस्थान सोहळयाला आजपासून सुरुवात होत आहे. यावर्षीचा हा 339 वा पालखी सोहळा आहे. दुपारी दोन वाजण्याच्या सुमारास प्रस्थान सोहळयास सुरुवात होणार आहे. आज पहाटे 4.30 वाजल्यापासून मंदीरात विविध कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात झाली. पहाटे 4.30 वाजता शिळा मंदिर येथे अभिषेक झाला. त्यानंतर स्वयंभू विठ्ठल रुक्मिणी मंदिरात अभिषेक व काकड़ आरती करून सुरुवात करण्यात आली. स्वयंभू विठ्ठल रुक्मिणीच्या विधिवत पूजे नंतर पालखी सोहळयाचे जनक तसेच संत तुकाराम महाराजांचे तृतीय चिरंजीव तपोनिधी नारायण महाराज यांच्या पादूकांचा अभिषेक करून विधिवत पूजा करण्यात आली.
