With long weekends round the corner, you must be planning to go out. So this can be a good travelling snack as it has good shelf life. It is a very easy and simple recipe. This turns out nice and crispy and remains so longer. It looks nice and taste simply awesome. So far we have tried different types of puri like puri, tikhat puri, palak puri. Tikhat puri is a very easy and simple recipe and remain crispy for weeks It is also known as masala puri. As we are using rava for making this puri, it remains crispy long time. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: • 250 gm fine Rava / Suji • 1/2” Ginger • 3~4 Garlic cloves • 2 chopped Green chilies • 1 tsp Cumin seeds • 1/2 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds • Coriander leaves • 1/4 cup hot Ghee • 1 tsp Garam masala • 1 tsp Red chili powder • 1 tsp Coriander powder • 1 tsp Turmeric powder • Salt to taste • Water as needed / 1 cup Water • Oil for frying Method: • Bland ginger, garlic, green chilies, carom seeds, cumin seeds and coriander leaves into coarse paste and add it into the rava. • You can blend coarse rava in mixer and use that in place of fine rava. • Add hot ghee, garam masala, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well with the help of spoon. • Mix it well again really good with hand. • Add a little water at a time and knead semisoft dough. • Cover and rest the batter for about 15-20 minutes. • Knead the dough again and divide it into 4 portions. • Take one of them and make it smooth and even. • Roll it into a chapati and cut puris with the help of a lid or a dish. • Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan and drop puri into it. • When lower side is fried well flip it over and fry well from other side too on medium heat. • When the puri is fried well from both sides, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it on a wire rack. Tikhat puri is ready. • When the puris cool down completely store them in an airtight container. • It has shelf life of about 8-10 days.
