Recent rainfall and melting snow have led to floods across the canton, accompanied by landslides and debris flows. On Saturday, cantonal authorities extended the "special situation" status declared on Friday. This allows the State Council to take control of the safety system and, if necessary, access additional intervention resources. Over 300 people, including 157 firefighters and around 40 civil defense personnel, are combating the natural disaster.
