This is not a cooking guide, try the recipe (or the lack thereof) at your own risk 😉 In this video, you'll learn some Tagalog cooking vocabulary by trying to cook a simple egg fried rice. SOME NOTES ABOUT THE VIDEO *Taktak can only be translated to 'shake' but it specifically means to shake the container that its content falls off. This video shows the Tagalog (or to be technically correct, Filipino) spoken in Metro Manila and parts of Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna that are near the border. You'll notice a couple of code switching. The usual tendency to code switch is when the English word is shorter than the Tagalog word (e.g. rice vs kanin, start vs simula). ABOUT THE CHANNEL After trying to learn a couple of new languages myself, I want to create content for Tagalog learners that uses a method that really worked for me: watching videos with subtitles. #learntagalog #learnfilipino |
