The 33rd Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sringeri, Sri Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati rediscovered Kalady as the birth place of Sri Shankaracharya over a century ago. The Mahaswamiji then consecrated temples at Kalady for Sri Shankaracharya and Goddess Sharada and released the complete works of Sri Shankaracharya entitled "Shaankara Granthavali".
