Karthi and Pranitha star in an exciting and funny Tamil political thriller. Kamal (Karthi) is an ordinary yet intelligent boy from village near Karaikudi. But a string of events lead him to set off for the city, where he becomes a politician. Entwined in this backbiting world, he nonetheless succeeds in changing the lives of others. As his follow-up to the action hit 'Siruthai', 'Saguni' offers multi-talented Karthi a very different character to get his teeth into. Pranitha, who's best known for her performance opposite Siddharth in the 2010 romance 'Baava', takes the female lead. Watch out too for a brief cameo by Anushka Shetty. Filming took place at locations in and around Chennai, including the Napier bridge. The memorable climax was filmed in Hyderabad. It's a racy entertainer with plenty of twists and turns - plus an excellent soundtrack by GV Prakash Kumar.
