It was some of the hardest trekking we have ever done but with some of the most rewarding views and landscapes. In October 2021, my girlfriend and I embarked on what is considered the best alpine trek in the entire world, the Cordillera Huayhuash trek. This 8-day trek has become well-known among outdoors enthusiasts for its sheer mountain peaks, pristine glacial lakes, and stunning views. The Huayhuash hike is some of the best hiking you can do in Peru, if not in South America or the world. Besides that, on this trek, there are some great opportunities for landscape photography in Peru. The Cordillera Huayhuash is without doubt a must-do when you travel to Peru!
