Rich portrays the life of irresponsible parents especially father and male domination in the family. The poet wants to tell the readers that often children become the victim of parents’ unhealthy relationship. From the psychological perspective, the poem tries to address the growing problems of family tensions, unhealthy family relationships in modern families. |
