| Video Discription | June was a month of unprecedented turmoil, Indian students and India's national exam systems faced a crisis On May 5, the NEET exam was held for 24 lakh students across India. Later NEET results revealed that 1,500 students were granted grace marks under suspicious circumstances, and around 67 students topped the exam, while normally just 1 or 2 top it. To add to the surprise, 6 of those top rankers came from the same exam centre. Dhruv Rathee was amongst the 1st ones to raise voice at a pan India level about this Even though the Education Minister denied any paper leak, still a 22-year-old NEET aspirant was arrested for possessing leaked questions. And also further to add to the NEET scandal, the UGC-NET and CSIR-UGC-NET exams were canceled due to paper leak concerns, and NEET-PG was postponed. These incidents have a pan-India impact, as students in India travel hundreds of kilometres to give those exams, which are now cancelled. The agency under suspicion is obviously National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting these exams. Either be it poor management, or lack of ownership, or some kind of organised scam. This affects all of us. This affects the middle class dreams. This is very personal. |
