| Video Discription | Michael Adams made his name in the NBA as one of the league's first high-volume 3-point shooters. On his way to attempting over 100 more 3-pointers than anyone else in the league during the 1988-89 regular season, the 5-foot-10 guard brought his unique shot-put shooting style to the 1989 NBA 3-Point Shootout. Adams' 12-point performance resulted in a fifth place finish in his only shootout appearance. Adams' shoot-first-ask-questions-later approach peaked in the 1990-91 season when he averaged 25.6 points and 10.5 assists while once again leading the league with an average of 8.5 3-point attempts a night. For the sake of comparison, Stephen Curry averaged 11.7 3-point attempt in 2019.
