| Video Discription | In this part of our Holiday we join our tour, Albatross Tours Italian Grande. An extract from the full itinerary is included later in the description. Day 1 we join the tour group at our hotel (Hotel Anderson) and then drive to Stresa on the beautiful Lake Maggiore where we stayed at Hotel La Palma for 4 nights. On Day 2 we did a day trip to beautiful Lake Como which included our own private boat cruise around the lake and then stopped in Bellagio where we had lunch. Later we visited Villa Carlotta and then returned to Stresa for dinner at a local restaurant. Day 3 we did a day trip to Macugnaga which is at the base of the Alps, absolutely beautiful and then on to Lake Orta. On the drive to Macugnaga we had a rest stop in the town of Pontegrande and the owner of the bar where we had coffee decided to entertain us (very special experience). We then stopped in Borca to visit and Old Walser House museum which was very interesting to see how then lived hundreds of years ago. Dinner tonight was our choice and we found a local restaurant in Stresa that did gluten free pasta, it was a great night. Day 10 -- Free day to do your own thing. Day 11 -- Cinque Terre sightseeing Day 12 -- Depart Montecatini Terme and travel via San Gimignano and Siena to Spoleto Day 13 -- Day trip to Assisi Day 14 -- Depart Spoleto and travel to Ancient Pompeii and then the Amalfi Coast Day 15 -- Amalfi Coast cruise to Amalfi and Ravello Day 16 -- Ferry ride along the Amalfi Coast to the island of Capri Day 17 -- Depart the Amalfi Coast and travel Hadrian’s Villa and then on to Rome.
