| Video Discription | Youtube… isn’t fun anymore. At least not as fun as it used to be. But it's not because it changed as a platform or because of it's sometimes... questionable decisions (like removing the dislike button.) It is more so because of my own changes as a person. I became bored, and, if I allow myself to say so, lifeless. I think that maybe since I always watched the same things, it felt like being stuck with no sense of progression. Nothing new or exciting was happening, in a phase of my life where change is second nature. My routine when I had free time was essentially 30 mins spent scrolling on YouTube, finding nothing I wanted to watch, switching to reddit to see what was happening in the world, then going on Instagram to browse memes. While that’s happening, I might think to myself “oh maybe I could play a game for once, it’s been a while”. I thus open Steam and browse my games list, see nothing that interests me, then maybe browse the Steam store for a while without once again finding anything that I want to play. Then, oops its time to hit the hay, having done nothing worthwhile in all the free time I had for the night. My routine became so devoid of meaning. My actions were all powered by an attraction to distraction. thanks for watching, and see you in the next one! |
