| Video Discription | One of greatest Hindi films ever…so directed by Bimal Roy, the maestro….Devdas (Dilip Kumar) & Parbati alias Paro (Suchitra) used to be childhood sweethearts….love continued to bloom beautifully aong with mutual passion with passing time ….inseparable in vibrant youth…but Devdas, a very rich Zaminder family’s son…Paro a poor village girl…he couldn’t marry her…she was married away to an elderly rich person… whose first wife bore the family heirs …Devdas led a bachelor’s wild city life in darker company (Chandramukhi -Vyjayantimala/Motilal)….but always with Paro embedded in heart, mind & soul…her deep love too never waned one wink…she only kept doing her duties at new home…being very sick Devdas longed to meet her once for the last time…arrived somehow at her doorstep at night….but breathed his last in first morning light….she heard outside commotion…learnt it was her dear beloved…she tried to rush out…but the main door was instructed to shut fully on her face…fire rising from his last rites immortazlized their unrequitted love…she contunued to live with lifelong pangs of her only love...a heart-rending classic story of pure love without ever being conjoined together on earth…..
